Update: Earthquake strikes region close to Katubao, Philippines on June 8 – 5.3 magnitude registered

A 5.3 magnitude quake hit close to Katubao on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the area at 00:07 UTC (08:07 local time). The epicenter was about 59 km south-southwest of Katubao, at a depth of 69 km.
