Update: Nov. 28 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake detected close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.3 magnitude quake jolted close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge Friday night.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 22:46 UTC (21:46 local time). The epicenter was situated south of Mid-Atlantic Ridge, at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.2 event, but later upgraded it to 5.3.
