Update: Seismic activity on Jan. 27 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake close to Bantogon, Philippines recorded

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake jolted near Bantogon Tuesday morning.

The tremor, which shook the area at 19:54 UTC (03:54 local time), was centered roughly 24 km west of Bantogon. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.

Over the last week, there have been 12 tremors with a magnitude 2.5 or above centered nearby. The largest one was a 5.4 earthquake that was registered near Sangay six days ago.
