DESCHUTES COUNTY, OR — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred near off the coast of Oregon Wednesday morning.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 2 p.m. (5 a.m. local time). The epicenter was situated of off the coast of Oregon, at a depth of 6 miles. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later upgraded it to 5.4.
