A 5.0 magnitude quake was detected close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the region at 23:26 UTC (22:26 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located south of Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
