Sunday afternoon, a 5.9 magnitude quake was detected near Yamada, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor struck the area at 08:14 UTC (18:14 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 125 km east of Yamada and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
