According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.7 magnitude quake jolted close to Pulau Pulau Tanimbar Friday morning.

A tremor struck the area at 21:20 UTC (06:20 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated of Pulau Pulau Tanimbar and occurred at a depth of 24 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.9 event, but later downgraded it to 5.7.
