Update: 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts close to Mawlaik, Burma (Myanmar) on Feb. 6

KANBALU, Sagaing Region — Friday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was reported close to Mawlaik, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 00:33 UTC (07:03 local time), the region was hit by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 57 km east-southeast of Mawlaik.
