WEST BAEGU T- FATALE, Malaita Province — A 5.7 magnitude quake occurred close to Auki on Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 15:17 UTC (02:17 local time). The epicenter was approximately 20 km northeast of Auki, at a depth of 32 km.
