Earthquake measuring 5.4 shakes area near Bulolo, Papua New Guinea on Sept. 2

MENYAMYA DISTRICT, Morobe Province — A 5.4 magnitude quake occurred near Bulolo on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the region at 20:04 UTC (06:04 local time). It occurred at a depth of 65 km with the epicenter about 53 km west of Bulolo.
