Update: Earthquake of 5.4 magnitude registered close to Severo-Kuril’sk, Russia on July 30

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude quake hit near Severo-Kuril’sk around midday Wednesday.

The tremor struck at 03:19 UTC (13:19 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 139 km southeast of Severo-Kuril’sk and a depth of 10 km.
