A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Ende on Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor rattled at 23:17 UTC (07:17 local time), with its epicenter roughly 63 km north-northwest of Ende and a depth of 10 km.

Last week, the area has experienced three tremors of magnitude 5.5 or above. The largest, measuring 7.8, occurred in the same region on Aug. 15.
