EAST ACEH REGENCY, Aceh — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Langsa around midday Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor rattled at 04:18 UTC (11:18 local time), with its epicenter about 60 km west-southwest of Langsa and a depth of 10 km.
