Update: Earthquake jolts region near Bengkulu, Indonesia on Feb. 15 – 5.1 magnitude recorded

A 5.1 magnitude quake was detected close to Bengkulu at midday on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor struck the area at 06:14 UTC (13:14 local time). The epicenter was situated approximately 58 km south-southeast of Bengkulu, at a depth of 65 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.0 but later upgraded to 5.1.
