Update: Earthquake measuring 5.0 shakes area near Tinajas 1ra. Sección, Mexico on July 14

TAPACHULA, Chis. — A 5.0 magnitude quake rattled close to Tinajas 1ra. Sección on Tuesday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which hit the region at 01:19 UTC (19:19 local time), was centered approximately 4 km west-northwest of Tinajas 1ra. Sección. It occurred at a depth of 82 km.
