Update: March 26 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake registered close to Balleny Islands region

A 5.3 magnitude quake occurred close to Balleny Islands region at midday on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor jolted the area at 01:06 UTC (11:06 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was of Balleny Islands region and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
