A 5.3 magnitude quake shook close to Balleny Islands region on Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which struck the region at 15:41 UTC (02:41 local time), was centered of Balleny Islands region. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
