Dramatic win for Austin Bruins – series tied against Minot Minotauros

The Austin Bruins won 4-3 against the Minot Minotauros in a game that went to overtime, on Saturday, April 25, 2025.

The series is now tied at 2-2 and the next game will be the decider.

Austin’s Gavin Hruza scored the game-winning goal.

The Bruins took the lead in the first period, with a goal from John Hirschfeld. Ryan Lund and Zander Lipsett assisted.

The Bruins’ Luc Malkhassian increased the lead to 2-0 late in the first period, assisted by Gavin Hruza and Gustav Svantesson.

The Bruins increased the lead to 3-0 early in the second period when Ludvig Mellgren netted one, assisted by Evan Malkhassian and John Hirschfeld.

Jack O’hanisain narrowed the gap to 3-1 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Ian Spencer and Billy Batten.

The Minotauros narrowed the gap again early in the third when Gavin Middendorf found the back of the net, assisted by Ian Spencer and Landon Fleming.

Gavin Middendorf also tied the game 3-3 with a goal two minutes later, assisted by Jordan Gibbs and John Small. The game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 20:39 before Gavin Hruza scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Ashton Bynum and Jackson Rilei.
