The first-half goal from Dolan was to be the only goal of the game when Blackburn won 1-0 away to Sunderland in the Championship.

It was Tyrhys Dolan who opened the scoring for Blackburn in the 33rd minute of the goalless match.

The game was the fourth in a row without a win for Sunderland.

With two games remaining, Sunderland are in fourth place in the table while Blackburn are in ninth.

The previous meeting between the teams ended in a 2-2 draw, with Blackburn at home in December.
