The Des Moines Buccaneers broke a tie game, winning 3-2 over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders at MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex on Friday, April 03, 2025.

The Buccaneers took the lead halfway through the first period, with a goal from Michael Burchill. Ryan Seelinger assisted.

Blake Zielinski scored late in the second period, assisted by Brittan Alstead and Connor Bewick.

Hans-Martin Ulvebne narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Jason Musa and Robert Chlan.

The Buccaneers increased the lead to 3-1 with 01.12 remaining of the third after a goal from Theo Kiss.

The RoughRiders narrowed the gap to 3-2 with three seconds remaining of the third after a goal from John Mcnelis, assisted by Robert Chlan and Maxon Vig.
