YAKUTAT CITY AND BOROUGH, AK — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake jolted close to Yakutat Sunday morning.

The tremor, which hit the area at 4:56 p.m. (9:56 a.m. local time), was centered roughly 68 miles north of Yakutat. It occurred at a depth of just 1 mile.
