Update: 5.0 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Pyapon, Burma (Myanmar) on Aug. 30

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake shook close to Pyapon Saturday night.

The tremor struck the area at 17:05 UTC (23:35 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located about 117 km southeast of Pyapon.
