Aug. 21: Earthquake of 5.1 magnitude registered near Vilyuchinsk, Russia

A 5.1 magnitude quake was detected near Vilyuchinsk Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor struck the area at 03:44 UTC (14:44 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located roughly 191 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and occurred at a depth of 10 km.

Tremors last week
