Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 strikes area close to Attu Station, AK on April 14

ALEUTIANS WEST CENSUS AREA, AK — A 5.2 magnitude quake shook near Attu Station on Tuesday around midnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the region at 12:45 p.m. (12:45 a.m. local time), was centered about 112 miles south-southeast of Attu Station. It occurred at a depth of 29 miles.
