Amarillo Wranglers win against Colorado Grit in overtime

With no decisive score in regulation, the Colorado Grit’s game against the Amarillo Wranglers ran into overtime on Friday, March 20, 2025.

Amarillo snatched the win with a final score of 4-3.

Amarillo’s Alexander Aleslov scored the game-winning goal.

The first period was scoreless, and midway through the second period, the Wranglers took the lead when Marc Lafrance scored the first goal assisted by Hayden Hedquist.

Grit’s Luke Helgeson tallied a goal halfway through, making the score 1-1. Sheldon Rioux and Lucas Mann assisted.

The Wranglers made it 2-1 with a goal from Trevor O’donohue.

The Grit tied the score 2-2, only 59 seconds into the third when Sheldon Rioux found the back of the net.

The Grit took the lead within the first minute when Landon West scored, assisted by Noah Grolnic and Nicholas Noble.

Jake Boulanger tied the game 3-3 with a goal seven minutes later. The game went to overtime.

Just over two minutes in, Alexander Aleslov scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Heikki Peipinen and Cole Saterdalen.
