The first period was scoreless, and midway through the second period, the Team USA took the lead when Sammy Nelson scored the first goal assisted by Andrew O’neill and Will Moore.
The Team USA made it 2-0 with a goal from Michael Berchild.
Dylan Compton narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a goal late in the third period, assisted by Alex Misiak and Teddy Townsend.
The Team USA increased the lead to 3-1 with 32 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Asher Barnett.
