Rochester’s Jaden Dyke scored the game-winning goal.
The Jr. Americans took the lead late in the first period, with a goal from Calle Karlsson. Jaden Dyke and Adam Gionta assisted.
The Tomahawks tied the game 1-1 with a goal from Jack Genovese late in the first, assisted by Hank Reed and Dylan Shane.
The Tomahawks scored three goals in second period an held the lead 4-1 going in to the second break.
The Jr. Americans narrowed the gap to 4-2 early in the third period when Ryan Shaw netted one, assisted by Calle Karlsson and Jacob Reese.
The Jr. Americans narrowed the gap again early in the third when Demitri Diflorio found the back of the net, assisted by Gabe Randel.
Tate Pecknold made it 5-3 with a goal two minutes later, assisted by Lukas Klemm.
Ryan Shaw narrowed the gap to 5-4 with a goal five minutes later, assisted by Owen King and Liam Chapman.
Jaden Dyke also tied it up 5-5 with a goal seven minutes later, assisted by Demitri Diflorio and Ryan Shaw. The game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 4:12 before Jaden Dyke scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Hugo Branthsson and Calle Karlsson.
