Muskegon Lumberjacks win to decide series

The Muskegon Lumberjacks have secured victory in the series against the Youngstown Phantoms in 3-0 games.

The series was decided with a 5-3 win on Tuesday, April 21, 2025.

The Lumberjacks opened strong, right after the puck drop with David Deputy scoring 23 seconds, goal assisted by Tynan Lawrence and Finn Mclaughlin.

The Lumberjacks increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Chase Stefanek scored, assisted by David Deputy and Teddy Spitznagel.

The Phantoms’ Ryan Rucinski narrowed the gap to 2-1 late in the first period, assisted by Adam Benák and Luke Osburn.

The Lumberjacks scored two goals in second period an held the lead 4-1 going in to the second break.

Kazimier Sobieski narrowed the gap to 4-2 with a goal late in the third period, assisted by Conner de Haro and Adam Benák.

The Phantoms’ Michael Mesic narrowed the gap again, assisted by Landan Resendes and Coleson Hanrahan at 18:17 into the third period.

The Lumberjacks increased the lead to 5-3 with 45 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Tynan Lawrence.
