A football drama unfolded at Cardiff as they entertained Oxford United in the Championship, the clash concluding in a 1-1 draw.

The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 56th minute before Yousef Salech netted to give Cardiff the lead.

Cameron Brannagan equalised for Oxford United with an assist by Tyler Goodrham, in the 79th minute.

The game was the sixth in a row without a win for Cardiff.

With two games remaining, Cardiff are in 23rd place in the table while Oxford United are in 19th.

The previous meeting between the teams ended in a 3-2 home win for Oxford United in December.

Cardiff play WBA on 25 April and Norwich City on 2 May. Oxford United’s next opponents are Sunderland on 25 April and Swansea City on 2 May.
