Madison Capitols reverse deficit to clinch victory

The Madison Capitols were challenged and were behind by 3-4 after two periods in the game on Saturday, April 11, 2025 against the Green Bay Gamblers at Bob Suter’s LEGACY20 Arena Middleton.

However, the change came in the third period, and the game ended in 6-5 for -team Madison.

The Capitols took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Diego Johnson. Egor Barabanov and John Stout assisted.

The Gamblers’ Geno Carcone tied the game 1-1 halfway through the first, assisted by Vasily Zelenov and Cole Longacre.

The Gamblers scored three goals in second period an held the lead 4-3 going in to the second break.

Gavin Uhlenkamp tied it up 4-4 with a goal in the third period, assisted by Aiden Long and John Stout.

Ryker Lee also took the lead with a goal three minutes later, assisted by John Stout and Austin Moline.

Jet Kwajah then increased the lead to 6-4 with a goal two minutes later, assisted by Charlie Michaud and Jackson Nevers.

The Gamblers narrowed the gap to 6-5 with 01.18 remaining of the third period after a goal from Geno Carcone.
