The National Weather Service issued an updated fire weather watch at 11:13 a.m. on Saturday valid between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The watch is for Inland Broward County, Metro Broward County, Inland Miami-Dade County, Metropolitan Miami Dade, Coastal Broward County, Coastal Miami Dade County and Far South Miami-Dade County.
Residents can expect winds to be northwest around 10 mph and relative humidity as low as 22 percent.
“Any fires that develop could spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended,” adds the NWS.
According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
