Lincoln Stars win against Madison Capitols in overtime

It was a long and winding road for the Lincoln Stars against the Madison Capitols in the game on Saturday, April 04, 2025.

Lincoln won in overtime 4-3.

Lincoln’s Dashel Oliver scored the game-winning goal.

The Capitols took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Ryker Lee. Jet Kwajah and Charlie Michaud assisted.

The Stars’ Gio Digiulian tied it up 1-1 late in the first, assisted by Layne Loomer and Alex Pelletier.

The Stars took the lead early in the second period when Dashel Oliver found the back of the net, assisted by Jack Pechar.

The Capitols made it 2-2 with a goal from Finn Brink.

Etienne Lessard took the lead with a goal in the third period.

The Capitols tied the score 3-3 with 31 seconds remaining of the third period after a goal from Jet Kwajah, assisted by Ryker Lee and Colton Jamieson.

Just over two minutes in, Dashel Oliver scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Tanner Henricks.

The win over the Capitols means that the Stars have eight wins in a row.
