Wisconsin Windigo beat Springfield Jr. Blues in overtime

The Springfield Jr. Blues played the Wisconsin Windigo in the action on Friday, April 03, 2025 in what was expected to be a close game.

The game went into overtime and Wisconsin prevailed. The final score was 3-2.

Wisconsin’s Mario DiMaggio scored the game-winning goal.

The Jr. Bues took the lead halfway through the first period, with a goal from Niko Laus. Jagur McClelland assisted.

The Windigo tied the game 1-1 with a goal from Felix Haibock late in the first, assisted by Hunter Hayes and John Halverson.

The Windigo took the lead within the first minute of the third period when Luke Baker found the back of the net, assisted by Alexios Georgaklis.

Aidan Hickok tied it up 2-2 with a goal nine minutes later, assisted by Frank Murphy and Logan Ganz. The game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 45 seconds before Mario DiMaggio scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Jackson Ernst and Hunter Hayes.

This makes an impressive four straight victories for the Windigo.
