In the first two periods of the game on Friday, March 27, 2025, at Sullivan Arena, the team Kenai River Brown Bears held out fine against the Anchorage Wolverines.
Anchorage scored three goals in the third period and won the game 6-1.
The first period was scoreless, and halfway through the second period, the Wolverines took the lead when Andrew Karkoc scored assisted by Xander Mullens and Drew Nelson.
Brown Bears’ John Ross tallied a goal late, making the score 1-1. Thomas Gunderson and Joey Gillespie assisted.
The Wolverines made it 2-1 with a goal from Taisetsu Ushio.
Late, Cole Christian scored a goal, assisted by Jack Darby, making the score 3-1.
The Wolverines increased the lead to 4-1, only 28 seconds into the third when Toby Carlson found the back of the net, assisted by Jack Darby and Daniel Bagnole.
Taisetsu Ushio increased the lead to 5-1 with a goal nine minutes later, assisted by Cole Christian and Drew Nelson.
Romulus Riego De Dios also made it 6-1 with a goal three minutes later, assisted by Cole Frawner and Duke Gentzler.
