A 5.1 magnitude quake hit close to Lospalos on Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 07:44 UTC (16:44 local time). The epicenter was about 164 km northeast of Lospalos, at a depth of 123 km.

Tremors last week

Over the last week, the area has experienced three tremors of magnitude 2.5 or above. The largest, measuring 4.4, shook in the same region on Oct. 20.
