SONÁ DISTRICT, Veraguas Province — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Río Grande on Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 20:42 UTC (15:42 local time). The epicenter was about 13 km west of Río Grande, at a depth of 10 km.
