KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, AK — A 5.5 magnitude quake hit near Aleneva on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor struck the area at 6:34 p.m. (10:34 a.m. local time). It occurred at a depth of 54 miles with the epicenter roughly 57 miles north-northwest of Aleneva.
