A 5.0 magnitude quake rattled close to Kermadec Islands region on Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 02:06 UTC (14:06 local time). The epicenter was of Kermadec Islands region, at a depth of 571 km.
