Sept. 18: Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude recorded close to Izu Islands, Japan region

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Izu Islands on Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the area at 07:19 UTC (16:19 local time). It occurred at a depth of 35 km with the epicenter of Izu Islands.
