A 5.2 magnitude quake struck close to South Sandwich Islands region on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted at 10:54 UTC (08:54 local time), with its epicenter of South Sandwich Islands region and a depth of 84 km.
