Sept. 1: Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude reported near Isangel, Vanuatu

WEST TANNA, Tafea Province — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Isangel on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 18:37 UTC (05:37 local time). The epicenter was approximately 118 km south-southeast of Isangel, at a depth of 122 km.
