5.0 magnitude earthquake hits close to Labuha, Indonesia on Aug. 29

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Labuha on Saturday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 08:08 UTC (17:08 local time), was centered roughly 64 km west of Labuha. It occurred at a depth of 42 km.
