Earthquake measuring 5.0 shakes area near Fuji, China on Aug. 28

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Fuji on Friday around midday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor jolted the region at 05:13 UTC (13:13 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was about 19 km northwest of Fuji and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
