The Wisconsin Windigo won at Soldotna Regional Sports Compl on Saturday, March 21, 2025, handing the Kenai River Brown Bears a defeat 5-2.
The Windigo started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Braydon Beahm scoring 29 seconds, assisted by Hunter Hayes and Nate Farrell.
The Windigo increased the lead to 2-0 in the middle of the first period when Zachary Cline scored, assisted by Hunter Hayes and Riley Joslin.
The Brown Bears narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a goal from Andrew Politoski late in the first, assisted by Thomas Gunderson.
Jackson Ernst scored late in the second period, assisted by Hunter Hayes and Nate Farrell.
Carter Mccormick narrowed the gap to 3-2 with a goal halfway through the third period, assisted by Luke Hause and Dario Lass.
Nate Farrell made it 4-2 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Harper Frey and Jackson Ernst.
Hunter Hayes also made it 5-2 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Michael Ryan.
