Michigan State win knock out game against Ohio State

Michigan State might celebrate tonight after a victory in their playoff knock-out game at Munn Ice Arena on Saturday, March 21, 2025 against Ohio State.

With a final score of 4-3, the have secured their place in the next round of the playoffs.

MSU’s Isaac Howard scored the game-winning goal.

The team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Karsen Dorwart. Isaac Howard and Nicklas Andrews assisted.

The Spartans increased the lead to 2-0 in the middle of the first when Isaac Howard scored, assisted by Karsen Dorwart.

The Buckeyes narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a goal from Joe Dunlap late in the first, assisted by Damien Carfagna and Aiden Hansen-Bukata.

The Spartans increased the lead to 3-1 within the first minute when Tanner Kelly beat the goalie, assisted by Isaac Howard and David Gucciardi.

Damien Carfagna narrowed the gap to 3-2 with a goal in the middle of the third period, assisted by Joe Dunlap and Aiden Hansen-Bukata.

Gunnarwolfe Fontaine also tied the game 3-3 with a goal five minutes later, assisted by Riley Thompson and Aiden Hansen-Bukata.

The Spartans made it 4-3 when Isaac Howard scored assisted by Charlie Stramel and Daniel Russell.
