Late-Game Surge Propels Minnesota Wilderness to 8-1 win over Janesville Jets

On Saturday, March 21, 2025, at Northwoods Credit Union Arena, the Minnesota Wilderness proved their mettle in a fiercely competitive bout with the -team Janesville Jets, erupting with five goals in the third period to seal a convincing 8-1 triumph.

The Jets took the lead late in the first period, with a goal from Hans Hedlund. Murray Marvin-Cordes and Nick Messina assisted.

Jakeb Lynch scored early in the second period, assisted by Luke Margenau.

Five minutes into the period, Frantisek Netusil scored a goal, assisted by Payton Struck and Zach Homer, making the score 2-1.

River Freeman then tallied a goal midway through, making the score 3-1. Ben Roulette assisted.

The Wilderness increased the lead to 4-1 early in the third period when Lucas Jendek scored, assisted by Payton Struck.

Noah Dziver made it 5-1 with a goal three minutes later, assisted by Payton Struck.

Brady Zugec also increased the lead to 6-1 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Avery Anderson.

Brady Zugec then made it 7-1 with a goal six minutes later, assisted by Jakeb Lynch and Karson Young.

Three minutes later, Brady Zugec scored yet again, assisted by River Freeman and Noah Dziver.
