Bunting scores twice in Philadelphia Rebels’ win over Maryland Black Bears

The Philadelphia Rebels beat the Maryland Black Bears 6-2 on Saturday, March 21, 2025 at Hollydell Ice Arena.

The first period was scoreless, and within the first minute of the second period, the Rebels took the lead when Luke Janviriya scored assisted by Abzal Alibek and Charlie Spencer.

Ruslan Jamaldinov then tallied a goal halfway through, making the score 2-0. Billy Sheridan and Ryan Vaites assisted.

Late, Luke Janus scored a goal, assisted by Sebastien Brockman and Sebastian Speck, making the score 2-1.

The Rebels made it 3-1 with a goal from Brayton Frick.

The Black Bears narrowed the gap to 3-2 early in the third period when Dylan Gordon scored, assisted by Isac Nielsen and Kareem El Bashir.

Nicholas Bianchi increased the lead to 4-2 with a goal five minutes later, assisted by Abzal Alibek and Charlie Spencer.

Ryan Bunting also made it 5-2 with a goal eight minutes later, assisted by Luke Janviriya and Charles Panchisin.

The Rebels increased the lead to 6-2 with 02.00 remaining of the third after a goal from Ryan Bunting, assisted by Billy Sheridan and Bryce Strand.
