Woods Fire initially started 7:06 p.m. Aug. 8 in Alpine County, California.

Since its discovery 22 hours ago, it has burned one acre of federal land managed by the United States Forest Service. It is believed that the fire was naturally caused. Currently, there is no information available on the containment of the fire.
