A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Sarangani on Wednesday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which hit the region at 05:59 UTC (13:59 local time), was centered roughly 46 km south-southwest of Sarangani. It occurred at a depth of 30 km.
