BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Burica on Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 04:19 UTC (22:19 local time). The epicenter was approximately 240 km south of Burica, at a depth of 10 km.
